Need an easy Christmas treat that the kids can make? Melt some chocolate (we used Hershey’s Special Dark) in the microwave, dip peppermint ribbons or candy canes in it and then dip them in sprinkles. Voila! Easy enough for the 3 year old, pretty enough for the 5 year old, and chocolaty enough for the 11 year old.
The ribbons were much easier to manage and really looked adorable. The bowl that we used to melt the chocolate was rather shallow, so we spooned the chocolate over the candy canes, which was a bit fussy. Next time we’ll just use the ribbons.
