be kind, rewind

Sorry for the blog negligence. I’ll just move on in chronological order. OK?

Liam is nine months old! He’s such a big boy, belly crawling all over the place. He walks while holding on to our fingers and has figured out how to exit the bath tub (big fun!).

His nine month check up went well. He weighed in at 21 pounds and 11 ounces and measured 28 inches in length. That means that he’s now coming in at the 75th percentile in weight and head circumference and 50th percentile in length.

Labor Day weekend was big fun. Liam finally made it to the ocean. (Yes, I’m horrible. We live less than 10 minutes from the beach and he’s only just been.) All it took to motivate me was a visit from Aunt Rosie, Carol Anne, Roy, Stephanie, and Andrea. And what a fun visit it was! Liam had a big time with everyone and I got to go out  with Stephanie and Andrea. To a bar. And stayed up until 1 AM.

And in current events. Are nine month olds supposed to throw temper tantrums? ‘Cause this one suddenly does. When his highness doesn’t care to nap (or sit by himself or play or be held, or whatever) he screams bloody murder and throws his head and upper body back into a full arch and stiffens everything and did I mention screams bloody murder. These little “events” have some serious staying power too. He’s a crazy person. Why didn’t anyone warn me about this?

Good thing he’s cute.
